For me it's simply ticket prices. That's why Arsenal and the PL is full of the drips they are. German football is for the youth, cheap tickets, cheap train travel and safestanding.

Its nice idea however factually incorrect - there were fans of all ages yesterday- a much wider age spread than you'd see at west ham or anywhere in the uk- its the inclusivity that very few, if any uk clubs can emulate - west ham had it, and are slowly losing it

I got the impression nearly all of them were not there for aggro, just a great day out on the piss in London. Most bought tickets, either with memberships they actually bothered to buy, or from touts.
It was the tiniest minority who tried to kick their way into the stadium or bunk into the away section. Can't say what happened afterwards, just commenting on what I saw before bedtime.
It's hard to do anything when they all stay together so well. It reminded me of the march one iron arranged in Palermo, where it wasn't to cause aggro, but to stay safe from a vert nasty home mob who would have taken absolute liberties if they caught you alone or in small numbers.
A very un-nazi salute to the Cologne fans from me.

I'm with you Thanks Ted. There are still many of the 'old school' who are still lively enough to hold their own, we might have a bigger belly and be a bit slower but most of us would give those fucking krauts and nice slap if they tried it on at our place.
